The Positive Vibes Hop - Follow Your Path Canvas - Riddhi Jani

            Hello! I'm Riddhi Jani .
Welcome to The Positive Vibes Hop.
The purpose of our blog hop is to start the new year on a colourful & creative note, spread positivity & good vibes. We hope you'll enjoy the mixed media projects & Tutorial we have prepared.

My Project is Follow Your Path Mixed Media Canvas.
I always inspire by Indian art styles ,We do have many form of art but I always attracted by mirror mud art and hand embroidery. So I used both of the art style on my project , and created a fusion mixed media canvas, which you can see step by step on video tutorial which I made for the Hop.
Let me tell you something in details about MUD ART.

Mud and Mirror Work (also known as Lippan Kaam) is a traditional mural craft of Kutch, Gujarat, India.

Lippan or  Though the work is limited mainly to the interior walls, it can be found on the outer walls as well. These scintillating murals bring life, gaiety, and beauty to generally harsh life of people of Kutch.

Mud and Mirror Work is mainly done by the women of the Rabari community. The women are so experienced in this art form that they usually don’t draw or trace a pattern before beginning work. Rabari is the pastoral community of Kutch, living in the outskirts of its villages. They dwell in a few clusters of communal or family houses known as Bhungas which are designed and built to take care of their practical needs in the harsh climate of Kutch.

Mud mirror work gathered attention of the modern world for its intricate pattern and aesthetic perfection and has made a full transition from its unknown modest stature to the mainstream art world, decorating the walls of urban homes.

However, I was unable to go market for getting 'Lippan' for this art form , I used Modelling paste instead. it is highly strong to hold glass pieces on it.

Here are Photos of the project, In this first image you can see a glimpse of mirror art.

Here you could find both the art style which I made on canvas.

Let me share some details of Embroidery in India. It includes dozens of embroidery styles that vary by region and clothing styles. Designs in Indian embroidery are formed on the basis of the texture and the design of the fabric and the stitch. The dot and the alternate dot, the circle, the square, the triangle, and permutations and combinations of these constitute the design. You can see 'lines ' which I made from cotton thread is a type of handmade embroidery.
